Panel Discussion “Continuing the Conversation – Cultural Diversity in Ministry”
June 30, 2015 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Most ministry leaders want diversity, but it is more a dream than reality. A recent Lifeway Research poll shows that 85% of Senior Pastors when asked said that every church should strive to be racially diverse, but only 13% said their church had more than one predominant racial or ethnic group in their congregation.
Together we will discuss what we can expect of the concept of diversity in ministry terms. To see diversity as an enrichment by now is part of ministry correctness on all levels. But what is the real added value of diversity in ministry life? Is diversity increasing or constraining the ability of a ministry to cope with change? What does tangible diversity management look like? And what does this mean for dealing with others?
Panel Members:
Pastor Nicole Hill – Sheffield Family Life Center
Pastor William Harris – Metrolife Church
Pastor Chad Melton – First Baptist of Raytown
Pastor Marco Castro – Graceway
